**Imphal, Manipur –** The Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) has filed a police complaint after the social science question paper for the ongoing Class 10 exams was leaked online. The leak, which occurred on February 25th, 2025, was first reported by the Democratic Students Alliance of Manipur (DESAM), who noted the paper circulated on social media platforms before the 9 am exam start time.
BOSEM secretary S Jitelal confirmed the complaint filed with the state cybercrime police station and stated that an investigation is underway to identify and prosecute those responsible. He denied rumors that the exam would be cancelled, asserting that the board is committed to ensuring the fair conduct of the remaining examinations. Mr. Jitelal condemned the leak as an attempt to damage BOSEM’s reputation.
A total of 37,052 students are sitting for the HSLC Exam 2025 across 155 centers throughout the state. DESAM has called for swift and decisive action against the perpetrators. The investigation is ongoing.
