**Hyderabad, February 27, 2025** – Interior designer Sussanne Khan has launched her flagship store, The Charcoal Project (TCP), in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills. The six-story store, a collaboration with Gauri Khan Designs, represents Khan’s expansion into the city’s luxury interior design market fourteen years after founding TCP in Mumbai.
Khan’s foray into Hyderabad follows a two-year collaboration with local partners specializing in high-end audio-visual technology and kitchen solutions. The store integrates interior design with these technological elements, offering a complete home design experience.
The store features distinct design themes on each floor, showcasing curated Indian furniture and accessories. Many pieces are inspired by Indian flora and fauna, with a particular focus on designs suited to Hyderabad’s climate and spacious homes. The collaboration with Gauri Khan offers customers a wider range of design styles.
Khan, who studied interior design at Brooks College, credits her mother, a long-time interior designer, for inspiring her career. She describes her design aesthetic as “quiet luxury with a fun vibe,” emphasizing natural light and organic shapes.
The Charcoal Project’s name, Khan explains, stems from the often-dark and grey state of project sites, which are “ignited” by her creative energy. The Hyderabad store represents a significant expansion for TCP, providing a larger and more comprehensive showcase of her design vision.
