Thu Feb 27 02:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Kings Rout Canucks in Final Meeting of Season

**Los Angeles, CA** – The Los Angeles Kings dominated the Vancouver Canucks in their final matchup of the season on January 16th, securing a decisive 5-1 victory. Alex Turcotte led the Kings’ offensive charge, scoring early in the first period and adding another goal later in the frame alongside Adrian Kempe’s contribution. Quinn Hughes provided Vancouver’s lone goal, assisted by Conor Garland and Filip Hronek, while Kevin Fiala and Warren Foegele added further goals for Los Angeles.

Despite a strong defensive effort from Canucks players like Tyler Myers (five blocked shots) and Phillip Di Giuseppe (four hits), the Kings’ offense proved too potent. Canucks goalie Thatcher Demko recorded 16 saves.

The Canucks’ most recent game, a 2-1 loss to Utah on February 23rd, painted a different picture. Jake DeBrusk scored a power-play goal for Vancouver, assisted by Elias Pettersson and Pius Suter, but Utah’s Logan Cooley and Dylan Guenther secured the victory for their team. Artūrs Šilovs made 30 saves for Utah.

Quinn Hughes was named Player of the Month for January and December (20 points each), while Jake DeBrusk earned the November title (20 points), and Kevin Lankinen took October’s honors (25 points). Points are awarded based on Three Stars selections.
