**NEW DELHI, Feb 26, 2025** – The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Arif Nisar, founder of Vuenow Marketing Services Limited (VMSL), on February 24th in connection with a massive fraud involving the alleged sale and lease of “cloud particles” (servers). The arrest follows searches of Nisar’s Delhi premises and is based on a First Information Report filed by Gautam Budh Nagar police in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
The ED alleges that Nisar, holding a 75% stake in Zebyte Infotech Private Limited (ZIPL), along with others, including VMSL CEO Sukhvinder Singh Kharour, orchestrated a scheme defrauding investors of billions of rupees. The agency claims that new investor funds were cycled to older investors disguised as rental income from the leased “cloud particles,” despite no genuine rental income being generated. The proceeds of the crime were allegedly invested in assets and diverted to personal accounts.
Earlier this month, the ED provisionally attached assets worth ₹178.12 crore, including six properties, balances in 73 bank accounts, and 26 luxury vehicles. The agency states that key Vuenow personnel, including Kharour, were given opportunities to cooperate with the investigation but failed to do so. The investigation is ongoing.
