Thu Feb 27 07:06:53 UTC 2025: ## Delhi Minister Orders Probe into Kejriwal’s Former Residence Renovation

**New Delhi, February 27, 2025** – Delhi’s Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Parvesh Verma has announced an investigation into the renovation of former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s official residence, 6 Flagstaff Road, which the BJP has dubbed the “Sheesh Mahal” (Palace of Mirrors). The investigation will determine the amount of public funds used in the renovation.

The BJP, which recently won the Delhi Assembly elections, accuses Kejriwal of misusing public funds for luxury additions to the bungalow. Verma, who defeated Kejriwal in the recent polls, stated that the lavish Chief Minister’s office, also built during Kejriwal’s tenure, will be similarly investigated.

In a separate development, Verma inspected ongoing infrastructure projects in Defence Colony, focusing on a damaged culvert that has caused significant traffic congestion for two years. He instructed officials to expedite the tender process, promising repairs by April. He criticized the previous AAP government for negligence, citing the doubled cost of the Barapullah project due to inaction. Verma noted that no minister from Kejriwal’s administration had visited the site to monitor its progress in the past ten years.
