Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh – February 27, 2025 – The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) announced a partnership with SkillBee, an online recruitment platform, to provide free German language training to nursing students in the state. This initiative aims to address a significant shortage of nurses in Germany, particularly in elderly care.
The MoU, signed in the presence of Minister for Human Resource Development Nara Lokesh, will provide training to over 4,000 nursing students from government and private colleges across Visakhapatnam and surrounding districts. The training will equip students with the language skills necessary to secure jobs in Germany and other European countries, offering them attractive salaries.
Minister Lokesh highlighted the substantial demand for nurses in Germany, estimating a shortfall of 300,000. SkillBee representatives stated their platform has already assisted over 10,000 individuals in securing international employment. The program will benefit graduates with B.Sc Nursing, Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery (ANM), or General Nursing and Midwifery specializations, offering both language training and job placement assistance. The initiative is seen as a significant step in providing skilled nursing professionals with global career opportunities.
