**New Delhi, [Date]** – The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to launch the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2025, with applications opening soon on a new dedicated website. This year’s exam undergoes significant changes, returning to a computer-based format and offering increased subject flexibility for aspiring undergraduates.
The revamped CUET UG 2025, scheduled for May/June 2025, allows students to choose up to five subjects, regardless of their Class 12 curriculum. The exam will consist of three sections: Language (50 questions, 60 minutes), Domain-Specific Subjects (50 questions), and General Aptitude Test (50 questions). Each correct answer will be worth +5 marks, with a -1 mark penalty for incorrect answers. The test will be offered in 13 languages.
There is no age limit for the exam, with eligibility extending to those who have passed or are appearing for their Class 12 exams in 2025. However, individual university admission requirements may apply.
A total of 277 institutions will participate in the CUET UG admissions process, including 46 central universities, 40 state universities, 30 deemed universities, 161 private universities, and 10 national-level institutes. The NTA’s new website will serve as a central hub for all exam-related information, including application details, schedules, syllabus, and FAQs.
