**Washington, D.C.** – The Social Security Administration (SSA) has announced adjusted payment dates for some beneficiaries in March 2025. These changes are due to the calendar and not errors in the system.

Most Social Security retirement benefits will be disbursed according to the usual schedule: Wednesday, March 12th (for birthdates between the 1st and 10th); Wednesday, March 19th (11th-20th); and Wednesday, March 26th (21st-31st).

However, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients will receive their March 2025 payment early, on Friday, February 28th. This is because March 1st, 2025, falls on a weekend. Approximately 7.4 million Americans receive monthly SSI benefits. The April SSI payment will then arrive on Tuesday, April 1st.

The SSA urges beneficiaries to check the updated online payment schedule for 2025 and 2026 for budgeting purposes. If payments are not received within three business days of the scheduled date, beneficiaries are advised to contact the agency. The full 2025 SSI payment schedule is as follows:

* **March 2025:** Friday, February 28th
* **April 2025:** Tuesday, April 1st
* **May 2025:** Thursday, May 1st and Friday, May 30th
* **June 2025:** Friday, May 30th
* **July 2025:** Tuesday, July 1st
* **August 2025:** Friday, August 1st and Friday, August 30th
* **September 2025:** Friday, August 30th
* **October 2025:** Wednesday, October 1st and Friday, October 31st
* **November 2025:** Friday, October 31st
* **December 2025:** Monday, December 1st and Wednesday, December 31st
* **January 2026:** Wednesday, December 31st

Individuals eligible for SSI are those 65 or older, blind, or disabled (including qualifying children) with limited income and resources. The application process can be initiated online, in person at a local Social Security office, or by phone at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778).
