Wed Feb 26 04:18:23 UTC 2025: ## NABARD Highlights Karnataka’s Agricultural Credit Growth and FPO Success
**Bengaluru, February 26, 2025** – NABARD’s Karnataka Regional Office announced a significant allocation of ₹2.04 lakh crore (46%) of the state’s estimated ₹4.47 lakh crore priority sector lending potential for agriculture in 2025-26. This was revealed at the State Credit Seminar held on February 25th. MSME sector will receive ₹1.88 lakh crore (42%), while other priority sector activities are slated to receive ₹0.56 lakh crore (12%).
KVSSLV Prasada Rao, NABARD’s Chief General Manager for Karnataka, highlighted the organization’s support for rural infrastructure development, with ₹2,056 crore sanctioned for 298 projects during the year. He also emphasized the success of Farmers Producers’ Organisations (FPOs) in integrating small and marginal farmers into the agricultural value chain, leading to increased income. The seminar was chaired by Uma Mahadevan, Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner. The initiative underscores Karnataka’s commitment to agricultural growth and rural development.
