**Mamallapuram, Tamil Nadu –** Actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay on Wednesday accused the BJP and DMK of a secret alliance, dismissing their public disagreements as a charade. Speaking at an event celebrating the party’s second anniversary, Vijay described the parties’ online sparring over the three-language policy as “kindergarten students’ behaviour.”
Vijay emphasized the central government’s responsibility to release funds to Tamil Nadu and the state’s right to receive them. He asserted TVK’s commitment to protecting Tamil Nadu’s language policy and autonomy, while clarifying their respect for all languages. The party, currently focusing on grassroots organization, plans a forthcoming conference to demonstrate its strength.
Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor, attending as a special guest, called for the TVK to combat corruption, communalism, and dynastic politics in Tamil Nadu, which he described as unprecedented. Vijay also criticized the current political landscape, stating, “Earlier landlords came to politics. Now those who are in politics have become landlords. Our goal is to eliminate these landlords from politics.”
