**RIYADH, Saudi Arabia** – Cristiano Ronaldo apologized for a significant delay to Al Nassr’s Saudi Pro League match against Al Wehda on Tuesday, before leading his team to a 2-0 victory. The match was delayed by an hour due to heavy traffic, with the Al Nassr team bus arriving nine minutes after the scheduled kick-off time.

Ronaldo, speaking to SSC Sports after the game, attributed the delay to a three-hour bus journey hampered by road closures and apologized on behalf of the club. “I want to apologize on behalf of Al Nassr for starting the game late. This should not happen again,” he said.

Despite the difficult start, Ronaldo scored and won a penalty, which he generously allowed teammate Sadio Mané to take. The win moves Al Nassr to third place in the league with 47 points, eight points behind leaders Al Ittihad (with a game in hand) and four points behind Al Hilal.
