**LOS ANGELES, Feb. 22 (UPI)** — CBS is doubling down on its success, announcing the renewal of several key series and the greenlight for eight new shows for the 2025-26 television season. The network confirmed the return of popular sitcom *Ghosts* for two additional seasons, solidifying its place in the CBS lineup.
Among the returning series are established hits like *NCIS*, *Fire Country*, and *The Amazing Race*, alongside newer favorites such as *Tracker* and *George & Mindy’s First Marriage*. The network is also bringing back the *NCIS* franchise’s various spin-offs, including *NCIS: Origins* and *NCIS: Sydney*. Renewals for *Matlock* and *FBI* were previously announced.
Adding to the excitement, CBS is expanding its programming with two new spin-offs: *Boston Blue*, featuring Donnie Wahlberg from *Blue Bloods*, and *Sheriff Country*, a spin-off of the popular *Fire Country*. Eight additional new series will also join the schedule, though their titles have yet to be revealed.
