Mon Feb 24 18:18:34 UTC 2025: ## India Clinches Champions Trophy Semi-Final Berth After New Zealand’s Victory

**Rawalpindi, Pakistan:** India secured their place in the Champions Trophy 2025 semi-finals thanks to New Zealand’s convincing 5-wicket victory over Bangladesh in Rawalpindi on Monday. The win propelled both New Zealand and India into the knockout stages, leaving Bangladesh and Pakistan eliminated after suffering two defeats each.

New Zealand’s success was built on a stellar century by Rachin Ravindra (112) and a superb bowling performance by Michael Bracewell (4-26). Ravindra’s impressive knock helped New Zealand chase down Bangladesh’s 236/9 with 23 balls to spare. Other notable contributions came from Tom Latham (55) and Devon Conway (30).

Bracewell’s four-wicket haul restricted Bangladesh, despite a 77-run innings from captain Najmul Hossain Shanto. His victims included key batsmen Tanzid Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, and Towhid Hridoy.

While India and New Zealand will meet in their final group stage match, the outcome will only determine group standings. Both teams have already secured their semi-final spots with four points each. The remaining matches between Bangladesh and Pakistan hold no bearing on the tournament’s progression.
