**Seoul, South Korea –** A section of highway under construction collapsed in Cheonan, South Korea on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, resulting in the death of two workers and injuries to seven others. Ten workers were on-site when the elevated portion of the highway gave way, trapping them in the rubble. Rescue efforts are underway to locate any missing personnel. The cause of the collapse is currently under investigation. Acting President Choi Sang-mok has ordered the mobilization of all available resources for rescue and salvage operations. The incident occurred approximately 90 kilometers south of Seoul.
