**Bengaluru, February 25, 2025** – A three-year-old boy was tragically killed and his pregnant mother seriously injured when a coconut tree fell on them in Halaganahalli, Karnataka, on Sunday. The incident occurred in front of the family’s home.
Police reported that Prithviraj was playing outside while his mother, Monika, sat nearby when the tree collapsed. Monika, who was visiting her mother’s house in anticipation of her delivery, sustained multiple fractures and is currently recovering in a Bengaluru hospital. Gauribidanur Rural police have registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating.
