**Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh – February 25, 2025** – Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced that the NDA government will implement several key welfare schemes promised during the 2024 election campaign. These include the “Thalliki Vandanam” scheme, providing financial assistance to all school-going children, and the “Rythu Bharosa” scheme, offering ₹20,000 per farmer annually in three installments. The “Matsyakara Bharosa” scheme for fishermen will also be launched shortly.
Naidu, speaking in the Assembly, stated that the government would fulfill all election promises, including the completion of the mega DSC recruitment drive before the next academic year. He credited the NDA government with reviving the NTR Anna Canteens and implementing a three free gas cylinders scheme, both previously halted. Furthermore, the government has increased old-age pensions to ₹4,000 and pensions for the disabled to ₹6,000. Government employees are now receiving salaries on the first day of each month.
Naidu attributed the progress to the NDA government’s efforts to overcome financial and administrative challenges inherited from the previous YSRCP government. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government for their support in infrastructure projects. He criticized the YSRCP for boycotting the Governor’s address and for the party president’s demand for Leader of Opposition status, a demand Naidu characterized as unprecedented in his four decades of political experience.
