**Hyderabad, February 25, 2025** – The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) is set to overhaul the undergraduate curricula for Business, Commerce, Law, and Management programs. A committee chaired by V. Balakista Reddy has recommended significant changes to modernize the syllabi and better equip students for current and future industry demands.
Key recommendations include aligning undergraduate and postgraduate programs to improve learning progression, bridging the gap between online and distance learning, and incorporating flexible entry and exit options. The committee also stressed the integration of technology and skill-based modules, maintaining language courses throughout the three-year program, and developing indigenous programs similar to the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning.
Further recommendations focus on strengthening industry ties through collaborations with startups, mandating mentoring and counseling, leveraging technology for inclusive education, and enhancing faculty development through workshops and collaborations between conventional and engineering colleges. These changes aim to make the curriculum more relevant and prepare students for the evolving job market.
