**Patna, Bihar – February 25, 2025** – President Droupadi Murmu emphasized the need for more inclusive healthcare facilities in Bihar during the centenary celebrations of Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) on Tuesday. Addressing the event at Bapu Sabhagar, she commended the Bihar government’s efforts in developing medical infrastructure but stressed the importance of expanding access to quality care. She urged PMCH to collaborate with other national hospitals for advanced treatments and research, particularly in areas like cancer care.
The PMCH, established on February 25, 1925, marked its 100th anniversary with the President’s visit, part of a two-day trip to Bihar. She was received at Patna airport by Governor Arif Mohammad Khan and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. President Murmu is scheduled to depart for Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday.
