Tue Feb 25 14:14:14 UTC 2025: ## Siddaramaiah Family Cleared in Land Allotment Case, But Sites Remain Surrendered

**Mysuru, February 25, 2025** – A Lokayukta police investigation has cleared Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his wife Parvathi, and two others of any wrongdoing in a land allotment case involving 14 sites in Mysuru. The sites, originally given as compensation for land acquired by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), were surrendered by Parvathi following allegations of corruption.

The MUDA acquired 3 acres and 16 guntas of land belonging to Parvathi to develop a layout. In compensation, she received 14 sites totaling 38,284 square feet. However, after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched an investigation, Parvathi returned the sites to MUDA.

Siddaramaiah’s son, Yathindra, stated that the Lokayukta probe confirmed his father’s innocence, emphasizing that similar compensations were given to others whose land was acquired by MUDA. He attributed the controversy to false propaganda aimed at damaging his father’s political image. Yathindra added that while the family is awaiting the court’s acceptance of the Lokayukta report, they have confidence that the ongoing ED investigation will reach a similar conclusion. He also stated that the decision regarding reclaiming the surrendered sites will be made by his mother. The family maintains that the land was fairly compensated.
