**TIRUNELVELI, February 25, 2025** – A Mahila Court in Tirunelveli has sentenced a 43-year-old laborer, Sudalaiyandi, to life imprisonment for the murder of his wife, Jayalakshmi. The incident occurred on January 10, 2022, following a domestic dispute in Pazhavoor. According to the prosecution, Sudalaiyandi attacked his 34-year-old wife, resulting in her death at the scene. He was subsequently arrested by the Pazhavoor police. Judge Panneerselvam delivered the verdict on Tuesday, also imposing a fine of ₹1,000 on Sudalaiyandi.
