**Gurugram, Haryana – February 25, 2025** – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday released the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) manifesto for the upcoming state municipal elections. The 21-point document, titled “Sankalp Patra,” promises a range of initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Haryana residents.
Key pledges in the manifesto include granting ownership rights to families occupying land and houses for over 20 years, offering a 25% property tax discount for homes registered in a woman’s name, providing financial aid to street vendors, and developing modern libraries and auditoriums. The BJP also committed to enhancing sustainable transport through electric buses and installing “pink toilets” equipped with sanitary napkin vending machines.
Mr. Saini described the manifesto as a “roadmap” and “guarantee card” reflecting the aspirations of the people of Haryana. He claimed the BJP had fulfilled promises made in its previous manifestos, highlighting the completion of 18 out of 240 promises from the 2024 manifesto. He also accused the previous Congress government of discriminatory practices.
The release of the BJP’s manifesto follows the Haryana Congress’s unveiling of its own 37-point manifesto on Sunday, which included proposals for property ID correction, house tax simplification, and improved traffic management. The upcoming municipal elections are expected to be a significant political contest in Haryana.
