**Guntur, Andhra Pradesh –** Four workers died after being electrocuted while cleaning a septic tank at the Sri Kali Vanashrama Goshala in Pedakakani village near Guntur city on Monday. According to Guntur Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar, the workers were using a motor pump to remove waste, including cow urine and dung, when a live wire fell into the tank. One worker was electrocuted, and three others who attempted to rescue him also perished.
The deceased were identified as M. Kali Baba, Yatagiri Balaiah, M. Mahankala Rao, and Y. Rajesh. Their bodies were sent to Guntur Government Hospital for post-mortem examinations. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
SP Satish Kumar described the event as an unfortunate mishap, emphasizing the need for stricter safety protocols in homes and workplaces to prevent similar tragedies. The Goshala houses approximately 70 cows.
