The incident occurred at approximately 9:49 am local time when five 50-meter steel structures supporting the elevated highway gave way, trapping the 10 workers present beneath the rubble.
The National Fire Agency responded to the scene, and emergency services worked to rescue the trapped workers. The cause of the collapse remains under investigation. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has dispatched a team to the site to assist in the investigation.
