**Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, February 24, 2025** – A speeding jeep collided with a private bus in Jabalpur district, Madhya Pradesh, early this morning, resulting in the deaths of six people and injuries to two others. The Karnataka-registered jeep, carrying passengers returning from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, veered off the road near Pahreva village, striking a tree before colliding with an oncoming bus.
According to Jabalpur Collector Deepak Saxena, the jeep driver lost control, causing the fatal accident. Six individuals died at the scene, while two injured passengers were transported to Jabalpur Medical College after receiving initial treatment in Sihora. The bus driver reportedly left the scene following the accident, and authorities are currently searching for him. Police and the collector arrived at the accident site shortly after the incident. The victims were en route to Karnataka from Prayagraj via Jabalpur.
