Mon Feb 24 03:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Sigma Unveils Revolutionary $2,000 Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera: The BF

**Tokyo, Japan** – Sigma has announced the Sigma BF, a groundbreaking 24-megapixel full-frame mirrorless camera set to redefine the photographic experience. Boasting a unique design and advanced features, the BF is slated for release in April 2025 at a price point of $1,999 USD.

The camera’s core is a 35mm full-frame back-illuminated CMOS sensor, promising exceptional dynamic range and a native ISO of 100-102400 (expandable to ISO 6). Sigma highlights the BF’s innovative, intuitive interface, featuring pressure-sensitive haptic buttons and a dial, simplifying complex settings. The user interface is radically different from traditional cameras, organizing settings logically across three menu levels for streamlined operation.

A standout feature is the BF’s unibody construction, meticulously crafted from a single block of aluminum. This contributes to its impressive internal storage capacity of 230GB, enough for over 14,000 JPEGs or 4,300 uncompressed RAW images. The camera eschews traditional memory card slots, relying solely on its substantial internal storage and fast USB-C port for data transfer and charging.

Video capabilities are equally impressive, with support for high-resolution 6K recording (up to 29.97fps), UHD (up to 29.97fps), and FHD (up to 119.88fps) in H.264 or H.265 codecs. The camera also offers L-Log recording to maximize dynamic range. A hybrid autofocus system supports subject detection, including people, dogs, and cats.

Thirteen unique color modes, ranging from classic to artistic options, add creative flexibility. The continuous shooting time is rated at two hours. Compatibility with the L-Mount allows for a wide selection of lenses from Sigma and other L-Mount Alliance partners. According to the company, the BF represents a bold step forward in camera design and performance.
