**Thanjavur, February 24, 2025** – The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) Kumbakonam Division celebrated the first anniversary of its popular “Navagraha Temple Tour” today, reporting a strong turnout of 22,000 pilgrims over the past year. The one-day tour takes devotees to nine Navagraha temples in the Delta districts, starting and ending at the Kumbakonam mofussil bus stand.
The tour offers two options: a ₹750 fare on ordinary buses and a ₹1,350 fare on air-conditioned buses (available on weekends). The TNSTC noted the tour’s popularity extends beyond domestic pilgrims, attracting international tourists as well.
To mark the anniversary, participants received commemorative keychains featuring images of the nine temples and a water bottle. The TNSTC highlighted the tour’s success as a testament to its popularity and effectiveness in promoting religious tourism in the region.
