**Patna, Bihar –** Prime Minister Narendra Modi today released the 19th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, transferring over Rs 22,000 crore to the bank accounts of nearly 9.8 crore farmers nationwide. The event coincided with the inauguration of several development projects in Bihar, where Modi was joined by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and several Union ministers, MPs, MLAs, and government officials.
In a social media post, PM Modi reiterated the government’s commitment to improving the lives of India’s farmers, whom he referred to as “annadatas” (providers of food). The PM Kisan scheme provides financial assistance to small and marginal farmers.
