NEW DELHI (PTI) – Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a nationwide campaign to combat obesity, nominating 10 prominent Indians to spearhead the initiative. The high-profile nominees include Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, businessman Anand Mahindra, actor Mohanlal, Bhojpuri singer-actor Nirahua, shooting champion Manu Bhaker, weightlifter Mirabai Chanu, Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani, actor R. Madhavan, singer Shreya Ghoshal, and philanthropist and MP Sudha Murty. Each nominee is tasked with nominating 10 more individuals to expand the campaign’s reach.
