Mon Feb 24 02:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Modi to Release ₹22,000 Crore to 9.8 Crore Farmers Under PM-KISAN Scheme
**New Delhi:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today release the 19th installment of financial assistance under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. The release will benefit approximately 9.8 crore farmers across the country, amounting to a total of ₹22,000 crore.
Launched in February 2019, the PM-KISAN scheme provides ₹6,000 annually to small and marginal farmers in India, disbursed in three installments of ₹2,000 each. This 19th installment marks a slight increase in beneficiaries compared to the 18th installment, which reached 9.6 crore farmers. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar confirmed the inclusion of an additional 20,000 farmers in this round.
The Prime Minister will release the funds at an event in Bhagalpur, Bihar. To date, the PM-KISAN scheme has disbursed a total of ₹3,46,000 crore since its inception.
