STATEN ISLAND, NY – The Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex will host the USATF Indoor Championships this weekend, February 22nd and 23rd, marking the return of the event to the East Coast for the first time since 2019. A star-studded lineup featuring 35 Team USA members from the Paris Olympics, including 12 medalists (seven gold), will compete.
Headlining the event are hurdle stars Grant Holloway and Masai Russell. Holloway, the reigning World Indoor champion in the 60m hurdles and world record holder, aims to continue his decade-long unbeaten streak. Russell, the Paris 100m hurdles gold medalist, is undefeated this season and holds the world-leading time in the 60m hurdles.
Other notable competitors include five relay gold medalists from the Paris Games, defending champion Alexis Holmes, and Christopher Bailey, who boasts the world’s fastest men’s 400m time this season. Returning champions such as Katie Moon (pole vault), Vashti Cunningham (high jump), and Chase Jackson (shot put) will also vie for titles. Olympic medalists Sam Kendricks (pole vault), Kenneth Rooks (3000m steeplechase), and Annette Echikunwoke (hammer throw) round out the impressive roster. Jasmine Moore, the first American woman to medal in both the long jump and triple jump at the Olympics, will compete in both events.
