Mon Feb 24 12:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Ravindra Returns for New Zealand in Crucial Champions Trophy Clash

**Rawalpindi, Pakistan:** New Zealand rising star Rachin Ravindra has recovered from a head injury and will make his Champions Trophy debut against Bangladesh on Monday. The all-rounder, who impressed with 578 runs including three centuries during the recent ODI World Cup, missed New Zealand’s opening match due to a forehead laceration sustained earlier this month.

Ravindra’s inclusion in the XI comes as a major boost for the BlackCaps, replacing Daryl Mitchell. The team also saw the return of Kyle Jamieson, replacing Nathan Smith, marking his first ODI appearance since September 2023. Jamieson was brought in as a replacement for the injured Lockie Ferguson.

Bangladesh also made changes to their lineup, bringing in Nahid Rana and Mahmudullah, replacing Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Soumya Sarkar respectively. A win for New Zealand would eliminate both Bangladesh and Pakistan from the tournament. Bangladesh, having already lost to India, faces elimination with another defeat. New Zealand, fresh off a 60-run victory over Pakistan, will be aiming to secure their second win.
