Sun Feb 23 18:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Notre Dame Cruises to Dominant Victory Over Miami
**CORAL GABLES, Fla.** – The top-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish (24-2, 15-0) continued their impressive winning streak Thursday night, routing the Miami Hurricanes (13-13, 3-12) by a score of 82-42. This marks Notre Dame’s 19th consecutive victory and their seventh ACC win this season by a margin of 30 points or more.
Four Irish players scored in double figures, led by Sonia Citron’s 19 points. Hannah Hidalgo added 18, Olivia Miles contributed 14, and Liatu King notched a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds, her 10th of the season.
Notre Dame dominated from the outset, opening the game with a 10-0 run and holding Miami scoreless from the field for the game’s opening stretch. The Irish’s stifling defense limited Miami to just 6 points in the first quarter and consistently frustrated the Hurricanes’ offensive efforts throughout the game. Miami shot a dismal 6-34 from the field and failed to make a single three-pointer in 16 attempts. The Hurricanes’ leading scorer, Haley Cavinder, was held to just 8 points on 4-15 shooting.
Notre Dame’s efficient offense, particularly in the second quarter, ensured a comfortable lead heading into halftime. Citron’s strong performance, highlighted by her 12 first-half points, was key to the Irish’s dominance.
The victory sets up a challenging matchup for Notre Dame this weekend as they travel to face No. 13 NC State. The game, which will be broadcast on ESPN at noon, will be preceded by ESPN’s College GameDay live from Raleigh.
