**Vijayawada, February 24, 2025** – The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) successfully conducted the Group-II Mains written examination across 175 centers in the state on Sunday. With an overall attendance rate of 92%, 79,599 candidates appeared for Paper-1 and 79,451 for Paper-2. Of the 92,250 candidates eligible for the exam, 86,459 downloaded hall tickets.
Six districts – Prakasam, Tirupati, SPSR Nellore, YSR Kadapa, Anantapur, and Eluru – reported attendance above 93%, while Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, and Guntur recorded 91%. Kakinada and Kurnool districts saw 92% attendance, with NTR district recording the lowest at 90%.
Stringent security measures were in place, with restrictions imposed within 100 meters of examination centers and traffic diversions implemented to ensure smooth access for candidates. Candidates arrived well before the 9:45 am deadline. One differently-abled candidate was frisked before entering a test center in Tirupati.
