Mon Feb 24 01:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Redmayne Celebrates Decade Since First SAG Win, Misses This Year’s Ceremony

**Los Angeles, CA** – Eddie Redmayne, nominated for his role in the Peacock series *The Day of the Jackal*, marked the tenth anniversary of his first SAG Award win this year. His initial win, a decade ago, was for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in *The Theory of the Everything*. In his acceptance speech at the time, he dedicated the award to those affected by ALS.

This year marks Redmayne’s seventh and eighth SAG nominations overall, with previous nominations for roles in films such as *Les Misérables*, *The Danish Girl*, *The Trial of the Chicago 7*, and *The Good Nurse*. While nominated for his current role as the deadly assassin in *The Day of the Jackal*, Redmayne was absent from the ceremony.

In an interview with Town & Country, Redmayne shared his apprehension about taking on the iconic role but ultimately found the updated script compelling. He also expressed his hope for warmer filming locations in the show’s second season, already renewed by Peacock. The actor envisions sun-drenched locales like the Maldives and Turks and Caicos as potential settings for the Jackal’s future adventures.
