**Bengaluru, February 24, 2025** – Amidst ongoing border tensions, the Karnataka BJP has strongly condemned recent attacks targeting the Kannada language and the state itself. State BJP president B Y Vijayendra denounced the actions as “unpardonable,” particularly those coming from individuals benefiting from the state while simultaneously denigrating it.
Vijayendra’s remarks follow an alleged assault on a KSRTC bus driver and conductor in Belagavi for not speaking Marathi. He called on the state government to take swift action to prevent further acts undermining Kannada and Karnataka. He also urged Kannadigas to speak out against such aggression. Vijayendra emphasized that insulting Kannada within the state is a grave offense.
