**NOIDA, INDIA (February 24, 2025)** – Two men were injured in celebratory gunfire at a wedding in Gautam Buddh Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday night, police reported. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. at the Ashirwad Marriage Home in Sakipur village during the wedding procession of Alok, a resident of Bisrakh village.
Santosh (45) and Dayal (23) were struck by stray bullets fired into the air by individuals within the procession. Both men were hospitalized, with one reported to be in critical condition.
Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh stated that an investigation is underway, utilizing CCTV footage to identify the perpetrators responsible for the celebratory gunfire.
