**New Delhi, February 23, 2025** – The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results for the December 2024 UGC NET exam earlier today. Over 649,490 candidates appeared for the exam, out of approximately 849,000 applicants. The results are available online; candidates can access their scorecards by logging into the official website using their application number and date of birth.

A total of 5,158 candidates qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions. An additional 48,161 qualified for Assistant Professor positions and PhD admissions, while 114,445 qualified solely for PhD admissions. The exam, conducted across the country in multiple centers from January 3rd to 27th, covered 85 subjects.

The NTA released the provisional answer key earlier this month, allowing for objections until February 3rd. The final answer key has now been used to generate the results.
