**New Delhi, [Date of Publication]** – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results for the UGC NET December 2024 exam. A total of 649,490 candidates appeared for the exam out of 849,166 registered candidates. The results, available on the official UGC NET website (ugcnet.nta.ac.in), show that 5,158 candidates qualified for both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions. An additional 48,161 candidates qualified solely for Assistant Professor positions and admission to Ph.D. programs, while 114,445 qualified for Ph.D. programs only.

The computer-based test (CBT) exam, spanning 85 subjects, was held over nine days across 16 shifts at 558 centers in 266 cities. The exam dates were January 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 16, 21, and 27, 2025.
