**New Delhi, February 22, 2025** – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results for the University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) December 2024 session. Candidates who appeared for the computer-based test (CBT) can access their results on the official UGC NET website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in, or directly through this link: https://ugcnetdec2024.ntaonline.in.

The December 2024 UGC NET exam, covering 85 subjects, was conducted across 558 centers in 266 cities in 16 sessions. A total of 8,49,166 candidates registered, with 6,49,490 appearing for the exam. The results show that 5,158 candidates qualified for both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions, while 48,161 qualified for Assistant Professor and PhD admissions, and 1,14,445 qualified solely for PhD.

The exam saw significant female participation, with 4,77,397 (56.22%) women appearing compared to 3,71,718 (43.77%) men. 51 candidates identified as third gender also participated (0.01%).
