Sun Feb 23 14:20:00 UTC 2025: **Thirty-Six Unseen Paul McCartney Photos to Debut at Gagosian Gallery**

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – A trove of 36 previously unseen photographs by Paul McCartney will be showcased at the Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills this April. The images, shot between December 1963 and February 1964, offer an intimate glimpse into the whirlwind of Beatlemania during the band’s early years.

The photographs, taken during the Beatles’ first UK tour and subsequent trips to Paris, New York, Miami, and Washington D.C., capture both the band’s experiences and the fervent fandom that surrounded them. The collection includes candid shots of bandmates John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, as well as self-portraits and images depicting the pandemonium of Beatlemania, including scenes from inside moving vehicles.

“Everything was new to us at this point,” McCartney recalled of the era. The photographs, he says, evoke “a flood of special memories.”

The exhibition features a mix of black-and-white and color photos, showcasing McCartney’s adept photography skills with his 35mm Pentax camera. Signed prints of the photographs will also be available for purchase, priced from $12,000, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting LA wildfire relief efforts.

This Beverly Hills showing coincides with a larger touring exhibition, “Paul McCartney Photographs 1963–64: Eyes of the Storm,” currently traveling to museums across the U.S. and internationally. An accompanying monograph featuring 275 of McCartney’s photographs is also available.

The Gagosian exhibition, “Paul McCartney,” runs from April 25th to June 21st.
