**New Delhi, February 22, 2025** – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has finally released the much-awaited results for the UGC NET December 2024 examination. The results, announced today, bring relief to the lakhs of candidates who had been anxiously awaiting their scores since the exam concluded in January.
The UGC NET December 2024 exam, held across various centers nationwide between January 3rd and 26th, saw a participation of 649,490 candidates. Of these, 5,158 have qualified for both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions, while a further 48,161 candidates qualified for Assistant Professor positions and PhD admissions.
The NTA has also released category-wise (UR, OBC, ST, SC, EWS, and PWD) and subject-wise cutoff scores along with the results. Candidates can access their individual results and download their scorecards, including the cutoff marks, from the official NTA UGC NET website: ugcnet.nta.ac.in. To view their results, candidates need to enter their application number and date of birth.
The UGC NET JRF is a national-level examination determining eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor positions in Indian universities and colleges. A JRF qualification opens doors to PhD programs at prestigious institutions and comes with government-provided fellowship funding. The exam is crucial for aspiring teachers and researchers.
