**Belagavi, February 23, 2025** – A mega e-Khata mela will be held at the Kumar Gandharva Hall in Belagavi on Monday, February 24, to expedite the issuance of property documents. The initiative, mandated by the Department of Municipal Administration following a state government order, aims to streamline the process of obtaining A and B khata certificates for all pending properties within urban local bodies across Karnataka within the next three months.

City Corporation Commissioner Shubha B. urged all those seeking e-Khatas to attend the mela with the necessary documents. Specific requirements vary depending on whether the property is classified as A or B khata. A khata properties require proof of ownership (sale deeds, donation deeds, etc.) and additional documents such as a site release letter, debt clearance certificate, and property tax payment receipt. B khata properties require similar ownership proof (registered before March 10, 2024) along with a debt clearance certificate and tax payment receipt.
