**Alappuzha, Kerala, February 23, 2025** – Chengannur police have arrested a 45-year-old man, identified as Prasad of Thittamel, for the murder of his elder brother, Prasannan (47). Prasannan was found strangled to death early Sunday morning.
Police investigations revealed that a long-standing family dispute escalated into the fatal incident. The brothers, who lived together, frequently argued, culminating in a threat by Prasannan to injure Prasad on Saturday. Later that night, while Prasannan was asleep, Prasad allegedly used a rope to strangle him. The accused is currently in police custody.
