**Mumbai, India** – JioStar, a joint venture between Viacom18 and Star India, has launched JioHotstar, a new streaming platform combining the content libraries of its predecessors, Disney+ Hotstar and JioCinema. The service offers content in 10 languages, including a wide range of international programming from studios like NBC Universal Peacock, Warner Bros. Discovery, HBO, and Paramount.

A key feature is the availability of live sports, including the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the Indian Premier League (IPL), International Cricket Council (ICC) matches, and the English Premier League, all accessible through various subscription plans. The India vs. Pakistan match is currently being live-streamed for free.

JioHotstar offers a tiered subscription model:

* **Mobile Plan (₹149 for 3 months, ₹499 annually):** Ad-supported, HD (720p) resolution, single device access.
* **Super Plan (₹299 for 3 months, ₹899 annually):** Ad-supported, Full HD (1080p) resolution with Dolby Atmos support, two simultaneous devices.
* **Premium Plan:** Ad-free (except for some live events and shows), 4K resolution, four simultaneous devices. Pricing not specified in the release.

All plans provide access to all content, but higher resolutions require paid subscriptions. Existing Disney+ Hotstar and JioCinema subscribers will have their subscriptions honored until the next payment date, after which they can choose a JioHotstar plan.
