**Mumbai, India** – Jio and Hotstar’s joint venture, JioHotstar, has officially launched, offering live streaming of major sporting events including the ICC Champions Trophy and the highly anticipated IPL 2025. While subscriptions start at ₹149, Jio is offering a free JioHotstar Mobile subscription with its ₹949 recharge plan.

This plan provides 84 days of validity, 2GB of high-speed 4G data per day, unlimited 5G data, unlimited calls to any network, and 100 SMS per day. The free JioHotstar Mobile subscription is ad-supported, allows streaming on one mobile device at a time, and offers live sports, movies, and Disney+ Originals, though limited to 720p resolution.

Higher-tier plans are also available. A ₹299 plan offers a 3-month subscription with 1080p streaming on multiple devices (mobile, web, and smart TV), while a premium plan (price unlisted) provides an ad-free experience and up to 4K resolution streaming. JioHotstar aims to be the go-to platform for live sports streaming in India.
