**Mumbai, India** – The historical drama “Chhaava,” starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, continues its impressive box office run, exceeding ₹286.75 crore in net India collections after nine days. The film, based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, saw a strong second Saturday, raking in an estimated ₹44 crore, according to Sacnilk. This follows a successful first week which saw a total collection of ₹219.25 crore, including a strong opening day of ₹31 crore and a robust weekend haul of ₹85.5 crore.

The film’s momentum shows no signs of slowing down, with a 9.30% increase in collections on its second Friday compared to Thursday. Occupancy rates remained high on Saturday, ranging from 35.55% in the morning to a peak of 61.82% in the evening, averaging 50.45% for the day. “Chhaava” has already surpassed “Uri: The Surgical Strike” to become Vicky Kaushal’s highest-grossing film.

The film’s success has even garnered attention from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who praised “Chhaava’s” popularity during a speech at the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan in Delhi. Maddock Films, the producers, hailed the Prime Minister’s acknowledgement as a “historic honour.”

Directed by Laxman Utekar and based on Shivaji Sawant’s novel, “Chhaava” features an ensemble cast including Akshaye Khanna, Diana Penty, Divya Dutta, and Ashutosh Rana.
