**Prayagraj, India** – The Uttar Pradesh (UP) Board’s 10th and 12th board examinations, scheduled to begin on February 24th, have undergone a schedule change. Due to the ongoing Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, the exams originally planned for February 24th have been postponed to March 9th. This postponement only affects examinations in Prayagraj; exams in other districts will proceed as scheduled.

The exams, which will run for 12 working days, concluding on March 12th, were expected to see a total of 5,438,597 students participate (2,740,151 for 10th and 2,698,446 for 12th). The February 24th exams included Hindi (Elementary) and Healthcare for 10th grade, and Military Science and Hindi (General Hindi) for 12th grade. These were to be held in two shifts.

Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh confirmed the schedule adjustment, stating the change is solely for Prayagraj to accommodate the Kumbh Mela. The news follows the announcement of the UP board exam schedule and comes amidst anticipation surrounding the Bihar Board results, which are expected soon.
