**Mumbai, India** – The Bollywood romantic comedy “Mere Husband Ki Biwi,” starring Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Rakul Preet Singh, has had a disastrous start at the box office, grossing a mere ₹1.5 crore (approximately $180,000 USD) on its opening day. This dismal performance makes it one of the year’s weakest Bollywood openers, second only to “Loveyapa.”

The film, directed by Mudassar Aziz, features a love triangle between Arjun Kapoor’s real estate businessman, his ex-wife (Bhumi Pednekar), and his current partner (Rakul Preet Singh). Despite a significant promotional campaign, the film failed to attract audiences, struggling against stiff competition from the box office behemoth “Chhaava” (starring Vicky Kaushal and grossing ₹23 crore on its opening day) and the Hollywood release “Babygirl.”

Produced on an estimated budget of ₹60 crore (approximately $7.2 million USD), the film’s weak opening raises serious concerns about its profitability.
