Sat Feb 22 04:16:20 UTC 2025: ## Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s Standing Committee Elected Unanimously
**Hyderabad, February 22, 2025** – The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) unanimously elected its new standing committee on Friday. The election followed the voluntary withdrawal of two nominations from Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) corporators, Prasanna Laxmi Lingani and Jupally Satyanarayana Rao.
Initially, 17 nominations were filed for the 15 available positions on the committee. The nominations were split between eight from the MIM, seven from the Congress, and two from the BRS. The withdrawals paved the way for the unanimous selection of the following members: Abdul Wahab, Ayesha Humera, Mohd. Ghouse Uddin, V. Jagadeeshar Goud, Parveen Sulthana, Batha Jabeen, Banth Sujatha, Md. Baba Fasiuddin, Burugadda Pushpa, Bonthu Sridevi, Mahalakshmi Raman Goud, C.N. Reddy, Mohd. Saleem, Sameena Begum, and Syed Minhajuddin.
The elected members will serve a one-year term, although GHMC elections may be held before the term concludes.
