**Chennai, February 22, 2025** – The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) announced a major drug seizure in Tamil Nadu, netting 729 kg of ganja and 16.5 kg of charas over the past 10 days. The operation, which is ongoing, resulted in the arrest of four individuals.
Significant hauls were made across the state: 273 kg of ganja in Madurai, 156 kg near Usilampatti (also in Madurai district), and 300 kg at the Nallur Toll Plaza near Chennai. Separately, two suspects, including a Maldivian national, were apprehended in Madurai for possession of 16.5 kg of charas. NCB officials stated that investigations are continuing.
